Dr Thomson joined the Practice in April 1996 having qualified in London in 1990. She became Senior Partner in April 2015. Dr Thomson runs a clinic inserting and removing contraceptive implants, and is also Clinical Lead for patients with Drug Dependency. She is one of the GP Trainers within the Practice, responsible for training qualified doctors to become GPs.
Dr Thomson works 3 days a week in the surgery.

Dr Murray joined the practice as a partner in 2013 having previously been a GP in the Lake District. She is the clinical lead for the quality within the practice and also is responsible for the supervision of our Foundation Year Doctors.
Dr Murray works 3 days a week in the surgery
BSc (hons) MBChB (EDINBURGH 2005) MRCGP (2015)
Dr Tweedie joined the Practice as a Partner in 2016. After qualifing as a doctor in 2005, she spent 6 years working as a Medical Officer in the Royal Navy. She works alongside Dr Thomson as a GP Trainer, responsible for the training of doctors to become GPs.
Dr Tweedie works 3.5 days a week in the surgery.
MBChB (2007) MRCGP BSc (Hons)
Dr Jack joined the practice as a Partner in August 2017. He has responsibility for undergraduate teaching of medical students. He also works alongside Dr Murray in Quality Improvement. In addition, he has a special interest in IT, and uses these skills to refine our practice IT systems.
He works 3.5 days per week in practice.
MBChB (Aberdeen 2008), MRCGP, DRCOG
Dr Ruthven joined the surgery as a salaried GP early 2018. Her clinical interests include medical education and assists Dr Jack in the education of the medical students.
Dr Ruthven works 3 days a week in the practice.
Dr FitzGerald Frazer joined the Practice in 2018. He qualified as a Doctor in 2011 and has spent the last 7 years working in Edinburgh.
Dr Frazer works 3.5 days per week.
MB BS MRCGP 2018
Dr Dimambro joined the practice in August 2018 in her role as GP Development Fellow and will be with us for one year.
Dr Dimambro works 2 days a week.
Dr Thornton is our ST3 - previously known as a GP registrar. She has several years experience as a doctor and is in her final year of GP training. She will be with the Practice until August 2019.
Dr London is in her first year of GP training. She qualified as a doctor 3 years ago and is now embarking on a career in General Practice. She will be with the Practice until Feb 2019.
Dr Wright is in her second year post qualification. She is known as a Foundation Doctor.
BSc RGN RSCN
Sharon joined the practice in October 2017. She has a wide range of experience, particularly in the management of long term conditions and sexual health.
Sharon is also a qualified Independent Nurse Prescriber.
A Phlebotomist can provide blood tests and blood pressure checks.
Julie is the practice Phlebotomist. She is skilled in drawing blood samples and can also measure blood pressure, height and weight.
Gillian joined the Practice in December 2015 bringing a number of years experience in Practice Management. As the Practice Manager, Gillian is responsible for the service provided by the practice administration team and for the business management of the practice.
Data Quality Lead
Jane joined the practice in March 2018. She is experienced in Data Management, responsible for the coding and summarising of patient records and monitoring of quality and efficiency of the clinical system
Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GP's and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.
The district nursing team is based in the surgery and provides specialist nursing care for housebound patients. The district nurses will assess, plan and provide the most appropriate and highest standard of nursing care in the patient's home.

RGN, BSc, SP
A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social well-being.
